  • How does Suisse Bancorp’s loan process work?
      - To start, your attorney provides Suisse Bancorp with information regarding your case. Once Suisse Bancorp receives this information we pass it along to our underwriters, who evaluate and review the loan request. Your attorney simply provides us with information, and does NOT determine whether the loan is approved or denied. Once your loan is approved, Suisse Bancorp gives you funds against your future or recent legal settlement for an amount approved by our underwriters. Once your case has concluded and your settlement funds are received by your attorney, we are paid back directly by your attorney’s office.
  • How long does the loan process take?
      - If we receive back the information sheet from your attorney’s office before 12:00pm, we can typically have an answer for you the same business day. Otherwise once we receive the information we can have an answer for you in about one to three business days, sometimes sooner, depending on your loan amount and type of claim.
  • Does the loan process involve credit checks?
      - No. Your Social Security Number is required for your file, but Suisse Bancorp does NOT run credit checks.
  • What is the interest rate on Suisse Bancorp loans?
      - Suisse Bancorp is a single rate lender; our interest rate is 36% annually. Suisse Bancorp charges simple day-to-day interest and only charges interest for the number of days a loan is outstanding.
  • Does Suisse Bancorp charge any document preparation fees?
      - No. Suisse Bancorp does not charge any administration fees for preparing the loan documents.
  • Once approved, how fast can I receive the funds?
      - Once a loan has been assessed and approved by our underwriters, funds can typically be processed and distributed within 24 to 72 hours, sometimes sooner. Funds are distributed in the form of a business check.
  • Is it possible to structure or get pre-approved for loan amounts?
      - Yes. Sometimes your case may take awhile to settle. In such a situation, Suisse Bancorp can divide a larger loan into smaller monthly loans. Not only does this method provide you with some type of regular income, but it also saves money on interest.
  • If my case settles unfavorably am I still required to pay back my loan(s)?
− Yes. Suisse Bancorp is licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, and as such cannot write any non-recourse loans. A non-recourse loan means that if the case is lost the loan doesn’t need to be repaid.
  • How do I get started?
      - If you are interested in submitting a loan request, you must first contact your attorney. After you speak with your attorney, contact one of our friendly staff members at 630-571-4101.
